Fun Sleepover Ideas to Try
There is nothing like a good sleepover. Staying up way too late, laughing until your stomach hurts, eating all your favorite snacks, it’s one of my absolute favorite ways to hang out with friends. You don’t need a big plan to make it fun. Just a few cute ideas, some cozy blankets, and a vibe that feels fun and laid-back.
I’ve pulled together a bunch of sleepover ideas that I personally love. From snacks I can’t stop making to movie marathons I’ve done over and over, here are all my favorite ways to turn a regular night into the ultimate sleepover.
Food & Snacks

Snacks are the heart of any sleepover. I love setting up little DIY food bars because they’re easy and make everyone feel like they’re building their own custom plate. It turns eating into a fun part of the night instead of just an afterthought.

Some of my all time favorites are nachos (pile on the cheese), a waffle bar in the morning, and a good old-fashioned ice cream sundae setup. Here are some cute and easy food ideas to try:

- Nacho station with toppings
- Popcorn with fun seasonings
- Ice cream sundae bar
- Waffle or pancake breakfast bar
- S’mores (indoor or outdoor)
- DIY snack mix
- Hot chocolate station with toppings
- Mini slider or sandwich station
- Fruit skewers or chocolate fondue
Movies & Shows

I’m obsessed with movie marathons at sleepovers. It’s the best way to wind down, cuddle up with snacks, and just relax together. Depending on the vibe, you can go funny, nostalgic, magical, or even slightly spooky (but not too scary, because I’m a baby about horror).
I usually throw on a rom-com or a Disney classic, but there’s something about 2000s movies that never gets old. Here are some fun movie night themes and a few of my goto picks:

Games & Activities

Games are where the giggles really kick in. Once you’ve eaten and watched a movie, it’s time to play something silly. I always love a good round of Truth or Dare (keep it fun, nothing too wild!) or a karaoke session where nobody is allowed to be shy.
My friends and I also do little dance-offs or make up our own challenges, anything to keep the energy up. If you’re more into chill games, card games or bingo are just as fun. Here are some ideas that are total hits:
- Truth or Dare
- Would You Rather
- Charades
- Pictionary
- Karaoke
- Dance party or TikTok challenge
- Board games (Clue, Monopoly, etc.)
- Card games (Uno, Go Fish, etc.)
- Scavenger hunt around the house
- Sleepover bingo
Beauty & Self-Care

This might be my favorite part, turning the night into a little spa session. There’s something so relaxing about painting nails, doing face masks, and trying out new hairstyles with your friends. It’s the ultimate wind down and such a fun way to bond.
Nothing says girls night like a good self care and beauty session with close friends. Here are some cute beauty ideas to make your sleepover feel extra special:
- DIY face masks (clay, sheet masks, or homemade)
- Nail painting and nail art
- Foot soak with Epsom salts and essential oils
- Hair braiding or trying new hairstyles
- Skincare routine swap (share favorite products)
- Makeup challenge (like “no mirror” or “5-minute face”)
- Temporary tattoos or body glitter
- Lip scrub and lip mask station
- At-home teeth whitening strips
- Mini massages or gua sha face massage
Crafts & Chill

If you’re looking for a more relaxed activity, crafts are the way to go. I love setting up a little station where everyone can make something and take it home, such as a bracelet, a vision board, or even a custom tote bag.
It’s also the perfect time to just talk and chill without a screen. Light some candles, put on music, and get creative. Here are some crafty options that I’ve done and loved:
- Friendship bracelets
- DIY face masks
- Nail painting and spa station
- Make vision boards
- Scrapbooking or memory jars
- Paint night with canvases
- Decorate pillowcases or tote bags
- Sticker book trading
- Journaling or gratitude letters
- Candle-making kits
Honestly, sleepovers are one of my favorite ways to spend time with people I love. You don’t need a big plan or anything fancy, just a few fun ideas, good snacks, and people you enjoy being around. I hope some of these ideas spark inspiration for your next cozy night in!
