When you get a sign that you were shifting, of course, you’re going to be happy that you were close, which helps you raise your motivation and belief for your next attempt.

Here are some of the most common reality shifting symptoms:

  • A sensation of floating.
  • Seeing a bright, white light.
  • An irritating itch or tingle on your body.
  • Dreams about your DR or people in it.
  • The urge to roll over.
  • Smelling certain scents when they aren’t actually present
  • Feeling detached from your body.
  • Feeling like you’re falling.
  • You’re starting to feel numb.
  • Dizziness.
  • Headaches and/or migraines.
  • A sense of “homesickness”
  • Heavy chest.
  • A racing heartbeat.
  • Eyelids start twitching.
  • Sweating.
  • Blurred Vision.

These are signs you have shifted to a parallel reality that I am aware of, have experienced, or have heard about from others. I might have forgotten a few.

If you experience symptoms while trying to shift, try to ignore them.

Maintain your focus on your method and visualization.

You’re attempting to forget about this current reality (CR) body and how it feels.

If you’re having trouble with visualization, here are the best shifting methods that don’t require any visualization.

Concentrate on your consciousness; that’s what you’re attempting to shift, so keep your attention there.

Also, try not to panic if you think you have shifted! Yes, I know it’s the best feeling in the world to shift for the first time, but getting too excited can send you back to your current reality.

  3. at the start of my shifting journey i was in almost the end of yr5 and so caught up in lucid dreaming and only trying one or two methods and not bothering to expand my knowledge on the subject. i started to watch on persons perspective on lucid dreaming and stating if you tried his method 100% you would lucid dream, it didn’t work and i was sad and wondering if i would ever succeed in the end i stopped for around 6 months and when covid hit i was in yr 6 and tiktoks algorithm brought me to shiftingtok i started going though what others suggest i do until i came across a account who recommend a shifting hypnosis this is where i started doing research but only sticking to that video dispite it not working in the end i looked for more hypnosis videos yr 7 came and i left the subject again and around the end of yr 7 i started to attempt to shift yr 8 i started my research and showed more progress yr 9 came and i started listing to alunir meditations and almost shifted and half way through yr9(now)i almost shifted last night like i mean i was really close and i am happy i finally know what i was doing wrong and to help others who are just starting their journey

  5. The most common symptoms I experience is the flashing lights, feeling numb, floating, fast heart beat, and sweaty. I remember the first time I shifted I felt like I just left my body and freaked the hell out but it was hella cool. And there was this other time where I felt someone lightly grab my arm but I jumped and came back to my cr lol. Still I haven’t fully, like, actually gotten to open my eyes and actually SEE if I was in my dr, I’ve only felt the sense of touch and sometimes the smell but whenever I open my eyes it’s either pitch black or my cr room. Still gonna keep trying though.

I tried shifting again just now and felt a heavy chest kinda knew it was a symptom but was not sure still tried to ignore it but could not focus since I have problems focusing on one thing sometimes and searched up symptoms and found this article yet I’m happy after reading this and being sure that I was close to shifting. Tho I do get distracted by some noises sometimes while trying to focus on one specific sound to shift. anyone got any tips for that?

  7. I’ve tried to shift twice now. The common denominator when I tried to do when was when my entire body, my chest more than anything else, became really heavy. The second time I tried to do this, which was last night, I started to feel my heart racing as well. For whatever reason, I became really hungry last night when I tried to shift.

    Is the hunger before successfully shifting normal or not?

  8. Hey! I tried shifting just now and omg I just had those symptoms written above and I’m freaking out, this is seriously my first time shifting. I just did my affirmations and visualized my dr reality without writing anything down (please tell me if I can do that lol, I really have no idea on what to do). So then I started to relax on my bed, then I felt like sinking into my bed, a little bit headache then followed up the tingling which freaked me out the most, then this annoying itch came up I had the urge to itch it so I did lol because it was so annoying. I hope all of these are good signs that im going to my DR reality and please give me tips on how to shift thank you!

  9. I tried shifting last night and it worked! I wrote a script and me and my friend shifted together, into the same universe! It was an amazing feeling, we even shifted into our favorite show, so it was way better! we read this article and gave the pillow method a try, I have aphantasia so I couldn’t visualize, but I still made it! and it was amazing 🙂

  10. I experienced a shift today. It was frightening. I had no idea what was going on. I check several symptoms that I get when anxiety pops up, but this…I have never experienced anything like this. I had a hard time bringing myself to the present moment. Once I did, I felt more grounded. It started with describing a dream that I had earlier this morning.     I tried to shift for the millionth time and it was different from the other attempts i’ve had. In my other attempts I usually used the Julia Method or the Pillow Method but it never really worked. The most I would get out of those methods were just tingling but it was not successful. Recently, I tried my own method. I would lie down and try to clear my mind. Once my mind was clear, I would visualize my scripted shifting scenarios in my head until I felt signs of shifting. When I did, I would try to visualize my bedroom in my desired reality and try to feel my surroundings change. If all goes well, I should’ve been able to open my eyes and be in my desired reality. Of course, I didn’t shift but I did get really close. When I was visualizing my scripted scenarios, my heart suddenly started to race. It was going to fast and I suddenly started to breathe really fast and really hard. My body felt like it was soaring. It was like I was riding a Go-Kart. It didn’t work but I got really happy because I was close.

  12. I tried to shift for the first time and it actually worked! I never thought of any specific method that night. Before going to bed i read the script i made in my sketchbook, after that I took a shower to relax my body and didn’t do any meditation. I just layed down and slept in my usual comfortable position. I said my affirmations mentally and had the very strong feeling of being shifted. I trusted the process and after a minute or so I felt my heartbeats racing continously and i was so freaked out it actually worked. I focused myself from saying my affirmations and keeps trying to visualize my DR. And then i felt my body floating and my vision becoming more blurry. I have aphantasia so this is actually pretty hard than it seems. Every minute that i don’t try to visualize things i felt like my body is just coming back. I experienced this symptoms for 20-30 minutes and i was getting too impatient. In the end i rolled over and regained my consciousness and the sensation of floating quickly disappeared..
